Everything on this trip was just amazing.
Thank you Bintang Komodo Tours
Dragons, island hopping and snorkelling
Dodi was an excellent guide and gave us very good advice on things to do outside of the activities included in his tour. He is very knowledgeable about the islands and has clearly made a lot of effort to be a great guide.
He and his driver were waiting for us at the airport when we arrived and dropped us at our hotel. He organised a private boat for the trip to the islands for two days and was very generous. I would recommend requesting a fast boat if you would like to spend more time swimming or snorkeling but the slower wooden boat does give you the opportunity to take a nap and enjoy the view of the islands as well as being a pretty authentic experience of local life. He got us fresh local bananas for snacks in the morning and bought a round of beers and drinks. He also provided a cooler box on request for us to bring cold beers on the boat with us. The lunch was decent local food, nothing amazing but definitely kept us going and he recommended some very good places to eat dinner at.
Overall Dodi was kind, generous, well spoken and informative and even invited us to meet his family. He is also driven and did not take offence to criticism as he clearly wants to offer the best service possible to his clients. I would count him a friend and highly recommend him as a guide when visiting Flores, Komodo or any of the other nearby islands.
